At Ballantyne’s Cove, November 12, at the home of his daughter Mrs. Ellen McDonald, at the advanced age of 86, Alexander L. MacEachern. The deceased was light keeper for a number of years and was born on the farm where the light house now stands. His wife was Isabell Gillis, of Arisaig who died some ten years ago. The deceased was of a kind and gentle disposition and was always found generous and sympathetic in his old home. All that gentle hands and care was done for him in his recent illness. He leaves to mourn one daughter, Mrs. Colin F. McDonald, and two brothers John L. of Lakevale and Archibald L. of Antigonish, and one sister Margaret.
