Donald J. MacEachern, 68, of 220 Route 9, Barrington, N.H., died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at his home after a long illness. Born April 4, 1833, in Georgeville, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Daniel and Mary (Gosbee) MacEachern. Donald had lived in Barrington since 1978 after moving from Ellsworth. He was employed as a surface miner and blaster. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Elizabeth (Gray) MacEachern of Barrington, N.H.; his sons, Donald and Allen MacEachern, both of Rochester, N.H.; three daughters, Diane Lavalliere of Barrington, N.H., Sandra Seaton of Rochester, N.H., and Norma Ross of Stratford, N.H.; his mother, Mary MacEachern of Sherbrooke, Quebec; his sisters, Marguerite Chapdelaine of Lenoxville, Quebec, Ann Blaqchard of North Hatley, Quebec, Eileen Branchard and Sally Corrigan, both of Sherbrooke, Quebec. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Carroll MacEachern. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at the Barrington Congregational Church. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington.
