Edward Bernard MacEachern, 51, a leading farmer of South Side Cape George passed away at his home Monday night following an illness of several months.  Last rites of the Church were administered by Rev. A.I. MacAdam.  Son of the late Malcom MacEachern and Mary MacNeil MacEachern, he was born at Ballantynes Cove. Returning home after spending several years in Idaho, and Quincy, Mass., he bought the John MacDonald farm which he operated successfully.  He married Florence, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Dan A. MacDonald, Lakevale, besides whom he is survived by four children, Wendell, Greta, Magdalene, and Allen at home; four brothers, Eustace MacEachern, Ballantyne’s Cove; Wendell in Idaho; Archibald and Albert, Vancouver; and five sisters, Mrs. C.C. Leu, Cecilia, San Francisco; Mrs. M. Squires, California, Seituate, Mass; Mrs. Thomas Campbell (Mary), Provincetown, Mass; Mrs J.T. Ward (Elizabeth), Boston; and Mrs. Walter Malloy (Angeline), Brooklyn, Mass.  Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. standard time with Solemn Requiem High Mass at St. Columba’s Church, Lakevale.
