Died at Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on May 16, 1948, Herbert Louis MacEachern, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacEachern of Winchester, Mass. On the death of his parents he came to Cape George with his uncle, Robert MacInnis, when a lad of ten and remained at the Cape until he moved to New Glasgow where he worked at the Maritime Steel Works until his death. Although he suffered ill health for many years he was never known to complain, and the end came after only four days of hospitalization…. ……happy eternity with his parents and two brothers, two sisters from whom he was separated so young. Surviving are two sisters, Kaye MacEachern of Fitchburg, Mass, Mary Agnes Mrs. Joseph MacDonald of McArras Brook, and one brother Irving MacEachern of Springhill, NS. Funeral services were held at the church of the Holy Rosary, Ballantynes Cove from the home of his cousin Dan H. MacInnis, of Hillcrest St. Antigonish.
