AT Cape George, Antigonish, Jan. 4, after an illness of ten years which she bore with true Christian patience and resignation to the will of God, Janet, aged 68, dearly beloved wife of John MacEachern (teacher), and daughter of the late Dougald MacDonald (Gow) and Ann Boyd, of Big Marsh. Deceased was a woman of exceptionally fine character. Charitable, industrious and cheerful she will be greatly missed by her many friends. During her illness she was frequently strengthened by the sacraments of Holy Mother Church of which she was always a devout member. She peacefully yielded her soul to God in the hope of enjoying a glorious hereafter. Besides her husband,s he leaves to mourn their loss four sons and two daughters: Dan J., JohnR., Hugh, Cameron, Penelope and Annie Jane; also a sister, Mrs. Duncan Gillis, Antigonish, and a brother, Dan MacDonald, Big Marsh. Three children predeceased her: Vince who was killed in the World War; Mary C. and Dougald, who died at home. On Sunday, Jan. 6, her remains were tenderly laid in Ballantyne’s Cove cemetery, REv. D. Beaton officiating at the grave.
