A letter to The Casket from Anyot, B.C. says: “John W. MacEachern of Ballantyne’s Cove, Antigonish, was accidentally killed here on March 27. While employed at the Granby Co’s smelter, loading cars, one of the cars toppled over, pinning him against the wall, causing death in a short time. Rev. Father Shuster was with him during his last moments, and he received a good Christian burial on March 31st. His was the first Catholic burial at Amyot. The unfortunate man worked but three weeks here. R.I.P.
