Funeral services for the late Joseph MacEachern, 90, of St. Andrews, were held last Friday in St. Andrew’s Church with Rev. Bernard Chisholm officiating. Mr. MacEachern died on April 9 in Edward Mortimer Place, Pictou. Pallbearers for the funeral were his grandsons Lloyd Sears, Leo Sears, Leroy MacEachern, William MacEachern, Brian MacEachern and Paul LeBlanc. Burial was in the church cemetery. A native of Cape George, he was a son of the late John and Jeannette (MacDonald) MacEachern. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by six sons; Colin, Bernard, Vincent and John A., all of St. Andrews; Alexander, Hamilton, Ontario; and Donald, Windsor, Ont.; two daughters; Isabel (Mrs. Tom Sears), St. Andrews; and Colleen (Mrs. Victor LeBlanc), Lower Sackville, a brother Hugh, Cape George; and two sisters; Mrs. Annie Kaiser, Cape George; and Penelope MacEachern, New Glasgow. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Annie MacGillivray; three brothers and a sister.
