Funeral services were held last Friday for the late Margaret MacEachern, 74, of 4 Greenwold Manor, Antigonish, and formerly of Ballantynes Cove, in Holy Rosary Church, Ballantynes Cove, with Reb. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Mrs. MacEachern died September 8 in Antigonish. Pallbearers were Alex Adams, Mark MacInnis, Frank MacNeil, Kimball Falkenham, Danny MacInnis, and Allan Roberts. Burial was in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Born in Cape George Point, Antigonish County, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Elizabeth (MacInnis) MacEachern. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society, Ballantynes Cove, and the Catholic Women’s League, Lakevale. Surviving are five daughters, Mary (Mrs. John) Ray, Whitney, New Jersey; Eva (Mrs Robert) Stahr, Johnstown, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Ann Gillsi and Mrs. Cecelia Marquois, both of Antigonish; and Betty (Mrs. Kenneth) Farrell, North Grant, Antigonish County; four sons, Buddy, Jackie, Gerard and Daniel, all of Cape George Point; and a sister, Hyacinth (Mrs. Penny) Jenner, Regina, Saskatchewan; two brothers, Angus, Antigonish; and Thomas , Cape George POint; 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Eustace MacEachern, in 1958; an infant son, Waler J., four brothers, Louie, John Dan, Alexander and Colin; two sisters, Annie Bean and Elizabeth MacLean, and a grandson Michael MacLean.
