Services Held for Veteran – Funeral services were held last Friday for Angus MacGillivray, 70, who died at his home on Main Street, December 9.  Mass was celebrated  in St. Ninian’s Cathedral and burial was in the parish cemetery.  Pallbearers were  Bill Grant, John Rankin Gillis, Ranald MacLean, John E. Grant, Sid Pushie and Mansfield Falt.  Mr. MacGillivray was a veteran of World War II and a member of Arras Branch Royal Canadian Legion.  He was a son of John and Mary Ann (Brown) MacGillivray of Georgeville.  Surviving are a brother John, Antigonish, and five sisters; Annie (Mrs. Fraser MacIsaac), Montreal; Catherine (Mrs. Alex MacDonald, Marcella (Mrs. Dan Hay) and Mary, all of Antigonish; and Gertrude  (Mrs. Walter Smith), Halifax.  Two brothers, Beaton and Bernard are dead.
