There passed away to his eternal rest on Oct. 13, at his home at Malignant Cove, Antigonish Co, Angus D. MacGillivray (miller) after a lingering illness. Born at Dunmaglass, Pictou County on Nov 0, 1865, he was the son of the late John MacGillivray and Annie MacDonald. In his early youth Angus D. MacGillivray was known as one of Nova Scotia’s top athletes. After several years of employment in U.S. he returned to Nova Scotia where he held the position as miller for the North Shore Milling Company Malignant Cove which he held for twenty-five years. In 1914 he married Amelia Macdonald of Maryvale who is left to mourn his loss also four daughters and four sons; Maisie of Montreal; (Esther) Mrs. Angus R. MacPherson, Morar; Theresa Irene of New Glasgow, John and Ronald of Montreal, Leo and Joe at home, all of whom attended his funeral. A sister Mrs. John R. MacDonald, New Glasgow, also survives. A good and faithful Christian he died consoled by the last ties of the Catholic Church. A large attended funeral was held to St. George’s Church, Georgeville. Burial took place in parish cemetery, service at the grave was conducted by Rev. R. MacPherson, P.P.
