Funeral services for the late Mary Elizabeth MacGillivray, R.K. MacDonald Guest House, were held this past Saturday in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, with Rev. R.D. Smith officiating. Mrs. MacGillivray died August 29 at home. Pallbearers were Bill MacEachern, Don Hurst, Brendan MacInnis, John Hugh MacEachern, Michael Penny and Carmen Tobin. Born in Cape George, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Matilda (MacEachern) MacInnis. She was a resident of Waltham, Mass., before returning to Antigonish five years ago. She is survived by two brothers, Dan iel Hugh and Louis MacInnis, both of Antigonish; a sister, Anne (Mrs. Harvey) Gamelin, Edmonton; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James; three sisters, Catherine (Mrs. William) MacEachern; Margaret (Mrs. Charles) O’Hara; and Mary; and five brothers, William, Colin, Mark, Angus and Colin Francis.
