The death occurred suddenly on July 31st at Cape George Point of Mrs. Anastasia MacInnis. Well known and highly respected citizen, although in ill health for a couple of months, her death came as a shock to her family and friends. Born at Lakevale in 1874, daughter of the late Donald MacDonald and Flora MacDonald, both of Lakevale. Previous to her marriage to John H. MacInnis in 1898 she taught school in different parts of Antigonish and Guysboro Counties. Surviving to mourn the loss of a loving Mother are eight daughters and four sons (Janet) Mrs. James Sacco, St. Peters Florida, (Catherine) Mrs. Ed. Chabot, Lynn, Mass., (Linda) Mrs. Hudson Poole, Lakevale, (Christine) Mrs. Henry Chabot, Lynn Mass., (Margaret) Mrs. James Carmical, Lynn, Mass., (Louise) Mrs. Harold MacPhie, Ballantynes Cove, (Florence) Mrs. Henry Mason, Iroquois, Ontario, Hanna of Halifax, Hugh J. of Cape George Pt., Donald and Albert at home, Augustine of Terrace Bay, Ontario, two brothers Simon Duluth Minnesota, Rod, Trails British Columbia, 33 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The funeral which was largely attended was held at Holy Rosary church Ballantynes Cove Saturday Aug. 3rd with Requiem High Mass, REv. A. Bryden officiating. Her remains were laid to rest beside her husband who predeceased her 21 years ago. May her soul rest in peace.
