Funeral services for the late Christina (Tena) Cameron, 77, of Brookland Street, were held on July 3 in St. Ninian’s Cathedral with Rev. R.D. Smith and Rev. Bernard A. MacDonald officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Cameron died on June 30 in St. Martha’s Hospital. Active pallbearers were Ray Cameron, Reginald Cameron, Michael Cameron, Eugene Neary, Neil MacDougall and Dougall MacDougall. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Cameron, Thane Cameron, Berley Cameron, John Hugh Cameron, Raymond J. Cameron, Greg Campbell, A.J. MacNeil and Alphonse MacNeil. Born in Georgeville, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Mary (MacNeil) MacNeil. She was a school teacher for 10 years in Antigonish County. She was a member of the CWL of St. Ninian’s Parish. She is survived by her husband, Dan F.; two daughters, Theresa (Mrs. Leonard) Duann; and Mary (Mrs. John) MacKinnon, both of Dartmouth; two sons, John Dan and Allen, both of Antigonish; and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret and Mary C.; and two brothers , Dan Michael, and one in infancy.
