Dan Hugh MacInnis, aged 35, a native of Georgeville, was killed in British Columbia last Friday. He had gone to the Coast eight years ago, and was a C.N.R. brakeman, running out of Vancouver. The injuries which caused his death were received while at work. The remains are being brought home to Georgeville by John MacInnis, a brother of the deceased, who also is a C.N.R. man in B.C. Beside this brother deceased is survived by his mother and three sisters: The Misses Catherine and Sadie, both registered nurses, the latter a graduate of St. Martha’s Hospital, and Mrs. John MacDonald, all of Boston. Miss Sadie and Mrs. MacDonald came home Sunday morning to attend the funeral.
Nova Scotian Killed In West – Antigonish, Nov 3 – Dan Hugh McInnis, C.N.R. brakeman of Vancouver, formerly of Georgeville, Antigonish county, was killed in British Columbia Friday. Mr. McInnis moved to the Pacific coast province eight years ago. He was thirty-five years old. Besides his mother he is survived by three sisters, the Misses Catherine and Sadie McInnis, both registered nurses, the former a graduate of St. Martha’s Hospital, and Mrs. John MacDonald, all of Boston, and one brother, John, of Vancouver, a railway brakeman. Advice from Vancouver to Miss Sadie McInnis R.N. of Boston, who arrived at Georgeville this morning with her sister, Mrs. John McDonald, was to the effect that her brother was injured while on duty and died on Friday. The body is being accompanied to Georgeville by his brother, John McInnis, also in the service of the C.N.R. in British Columbia.
