Clothes Ignite, Man Died – A funeral Mass was celebrated last week for John MacInnis, 74, of Georgeville, who died at his home on October 15. The elderly man , who was found by a neighbour, is believed to have died after his clothes ignited while he was lighting a fire. After service in St. George’s Church, burial was in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were Leo MacInnis, Sandy MacAdam, Joe MacLean, Bernie Chisholm, Bernie MacGillivray and John Angus Chisholm. Mr. MacInnis, a retired woodsman is survived by his sister Catherine MacNeil, Malignant Cove, and four nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Anne MacInnis of Georgeville, and a brother.
