At. St. Martha’s Hospital on June 5, John MacInnis in the 86th year of his age. One of the oldest residents of Georgeville parish – he was the son of John McInnis and his wife Christina Smith. He leaves to mourn two sons, John and Angus of Georgeville and three daughters Catherine Mrs. J.J. McNeil, of Malignant Cove, Agnes of Boston, who came home to visit her father before his death, and Christina, who cared for him all through the years – also by one sister Mrs. Margaret MacGillivray the last remaining member of a large family. After frequent reception of the Blessed Sacraments during his illness, he passed on to eternal life, firm in his hopes of peace and happiness there. His wife was the late Mary Ann McInnis, daughter of Angus (Taylor) McInnis. She died ten years ago. Internment was at St. George’s Cemetery after Requiem Mass by Rev. R.W. MacPherson, who also officiated at the graveside.
