MACINNIS, Mark – 79 Cape George Point, Antigonish County, died Thursday at home. He was born in Cape George Point and was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Gillis) MacInnis. He was a retired carpenter and fisherman. He was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, Ballantyne’s Cove. . He was also a warden of that church. He is survived by his wife, the former Isabel MacInnis; two daughters, Martha, Antigonish; Hilma (Mrs. Burt Fougere), Linwood, Antigonish County; two sons, Blaise, at home; Hugh A, Cape George Point; five grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by five sisters, Catherine (Mrs. Kimball Falkenham), Mary (Mrs. Dan MacDonald); Hilda (Mrs. Jack Boyd); Margaret (Mrs. Shaw Boyd), Esta (Mrs. Angus MacGillivary); four brothers, Alex, William, Hugh, Raymond. The body will be in Curry Brothers Funeral Home, Antigonish, after 2 p.m., Saturday. Funeral will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Holy Rosary Church, Ballantyne’s Cove, Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial to follow in parish cemetery.
