MacInnis (Dawe), Patrica Georgina – Antigonish. Loving wife of the late Dan Hugh MacInnis passed away peacefully at age 92 at home with her family on September 9, 2005. Born in Sydney, C.B., she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Mary (Burgie) Dawe. Patricia lived her life to the fullest. She was an active member of the C.W.L., the Marion Boy Choir Ladies Auxiliary, taught sewing and when most were retiring, started working as a receptionist at Mount Bernard College. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, travel, bridge and reading. MOre than anything, she loved to have her family around her. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Ron (Bertha), Cape George; Marie (Bill) Scutt, Montreal; Anne (Morgan) Howard, Montreal; Ira (Geraldine), Halifax; Harold (Bernadette), and Brendan (friend, Donald), Antigonish; grandchildren, Patricia Gillis, Terry Penny, Susan Dobek, Michael Penny, Anne Marie Cogger, Mark Penny, Anne Marie Cogger, Mark Penny, Peter MacInnis, Mary Fraser, Anne Greeno, Colin MacInnis, Barbara, William, Tara and Cheryl Scutt, David, Ann-Louise, Mary and Leigh Howard, Margaret Anne Giles, Brian, Kim and Heidi MacInnis, Kevin MacInnis, Johathan, Daniel and Matthew MacInnis, as well as her many great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces; sister Mae MacDonald, Sydney; sister in law, Alice Dawe, Sydney. She was predeceased by daughters Wilena (Gordon) Penny, Antigonish; Louise (Peter) Heffron, Flemington, N.J.; infant children John and Nora; granddaughter, Beverly Ellis (Halifax); brother, Harold; sister Charlotte. The family thanks Dr. Cudmore, all the nurses from “Hospital in the Home”, and especially Elaine, Maureen, Marion, Debbie, Lisa and Donalda for the wonderful care they gave “Ma” right up until she died. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 pm Tuesday in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Ray Huntley presiding. Burial to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Ballantyne’s Cove.
