MACKINNON – At Butte, Montana, Jan 21, 1933, after a lingering illness which he bore with Christian patience, Joseph McKinnon, a native of Georgeville, Antigonish Co. He was consoled by the last rites of the Catholic Church of which he was a devout member. His pastor, Rev. M. J. Leonard, was at his side when he passed away. He was buried at St. John the Evangelist Church Jan 24. Solemn Mass was celebrated by Rev. M.J. Leonard with Rev. M.M. English, deacon and Rev. A.J. Harrington, sub-deacon; with Rev. Peter F. McDonald and Rev. PmJ. Crawley in the sanctuary. At the grave the prayers were said by Rev. Peter F. McDonald and Rev. M.J. Leonard. The body was laid to rest in Holy Cross cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife and son in Butte, who were at his bedside when he died; also a brother Charles in Detroit and a sister Mrs. McInnis of Georgeville.
