MacLEAN, (Chisholm) Donna Theresa – 64, Northview Drive, Antigonish, died January 19, 1998, at home. Born in Georgeville, Antigonish Co., she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Mabel (MacInnis) Chisholm. As a young person, she was employed at the former Niema Jewelers in Antigonish; as a florist at Elm Gardens, and as deputy prothonotary in Antigonish. She was an amateur artist; an avid gardener, and bird watcher. Surviving are her husband, John P. (Butch); daughters, Karen (Alex) Williams, Lower Barneys River; Jean MacLean (Albert) Halberstadt, Calgary; Donna Elizabeth (John Duncan) MacDonald, Judique; Jennifer (Rick) Deveau, Halifax; sons, Ian (Noella), Robert, both of Oshawa; Michael (Betty Ann), Brampton; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sisters, Colleen Gregory, Port Alberni, B.C.; Mary (Donald) MacLean, Malignant Cove; Elizabeth (Don) Ankersen, Midway, B.C.; brother, Archie (Edna), Baileys Brook. She was predeceased by brothers, Ambrose B., Hugh John, Mitchell. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, Antigonish. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial at a later date in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to Antigonish Food Bank or Antigonish Volunteer Fire Department.
