Alexander D. MacMillan, 83, of Livingstone Cove died Thursday in St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish. Borin in Livingstone’s Cove, he was a son of the late John and Mary Jane (Cameron) MacMillan. A farmer all his working life, he was also an elder of St. David’s United Church for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, the former Jessie Margaret Camerson; a daughter Margaret (Mrs. Robert Linkletter), Livingstone Cove; two brothers, Archie and Colin, both of Dearborn, Mich.; a sister Mrs. Jessie Rogers, Wilmington, Mass., and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers. George, John, William and Cameron. The body will be in Curry’s Funeral Home, Antigonish after 7 pm today. Funeral will be 3 pm Sunday in St. David’s United Church, Cape George, Antigonish County, Rev. Ralph Webber officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
