At St. Martha’s Hospital, Antignonish, May 7, after a long illness, Duncan MacNeil, Lakevale, aged 75. Son of the late Dan MacNeil and Annie MacDougall, he was born at Georgeville, and moved 37 years ago to Lakevale. Besides his wife,formerly Mary MacDonald of Morristown, he is survived by two daughters, Annie and Florence, New York; nine sons, Daniel C., New York; Neil, Vancouver; Douglas and Albert, New York; Simon, Frank, Augustus, Edmund and Jerome at home; besides a sister, Mrs. Colin Chisholm, Fairmont. The community of Lakevale has suffered a very real loss in Mr. MacNeil’s death. He was a hard working, progressive citizen. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, interment being at Lakevale after requiem service at St. Columba church by Fr. Beaton.
