MacPhie, D. William (Billy) – 445, 6 Ross Street, Antigonish, died Wednesday in Cape George, Antigonish. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Harold and Louise (MacInnis) MacPhie.   He owned  and operated the M and M taxi until shortly before his death and was well known in the Antigonish sports community.  He is survived by his wife , the former Marion Anne Anstey; three daughters, Patti, Donna , Dale, all at home; three brothers, Harold, Cape George, John M. , Antigonish; Leonard, Halifax; five sisters, Joan (Mrs. Malcolm MacEachern), Antigonish; Janet Murphy, Middleton; Doris (Mrs. Ron Fox), Chicago, Ill; Ann (Mrs Raymond MacDonald), Arisaig; Gladys (Mrs. James MacGillivray), Williams Point.  

Pallbearers were Albie Falkenham, Gerard MacEachern, Lauchie MacIsaac, Owen McVicar, Irving Mugford and Terry MacPherosn.
