1968 – Alexander Kennedy MacPherson
The death occurred at Vancouver General Hospital of Alexander Kennedy MacPherson. He was born April 21, 1920, at Ballantynes Cove, son of the late Jack MacPherson and Jennie (MacEachern) MacPherson. He received his early education at Cape George. Later he moved with his family to Antigonish Landing and attended Morrison High School. Before moving west in 1957, he worked for many years with D.D. MacDonald Ltd. Like his father, he was interested in horse racing and drive the well known horse, “Peter Hal”, owned by his father. In Vancouver, he worked for Pacific Caterers Ltd. Mr Macpherson is survived by his twin brother , Jack of Vancouver; a foster sister, Molly (Mrs. Frank McKeoughe), Calgary. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. Burial was in Ocean View cemetery. Pallbearers were Andrew McKay, William MacDonald, Ted Braidner, and Frank Kearney.
