Funeral services for the late Bernard Allen MacPherson, 19, of Georgeville, were held last Tuesday in St. George’s Church with Rev. Hugh A. Macdonald officiating. Bernard MacPherson died on January 6 as the result of a two-car collision on the trans-Canada highway near New Glasgow. Pallbearers at the funeral service were Bernard Heffernan, Donald Heffernan, Roderick Heffernan, Gerald MacGillivray, Leo MacGillivray and Bernard MacIsaac. ?Burial was in the parish cemetery. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Angus R. and Ester (MacGillivary) MacPherson. He assisted his father on a rural mail route for the past two years. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters; Anne and Lynnm, both of Georgeville and two brothers, Joseph and Leonard both of Ottawa.
