Hugh Alexander MacPherson, 58, of Livingstone’s Cove, died at St. Martha’s Hospital on Sunday. He was a son of John James and Gertrude (Gillis) MacPherson. Surviving are his wife, the former Christine Chisholm of St. Andrews; two daughters, Patsy, Dartmouth, and Mary Gertrude, at home; two sisters, Molly (Mrs. Fred McKeough), Langley, British Columbia, and Gertrude Doyle, Morristown; and two brothers, Sander, Thunder Bay, Ontario, and Gillis, Eastern Passage. The funeral Mass was celebrated in St. George’s Church, Georgeville on Wednesday. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
