This project was created by Cassie MacGillivray and her mother Kathryn Collicott for The People’s Archive of Nova Scotia. Kathryn writes “In 2016, Cassie MacGillivray and I decided we wanted to take a snapshot in time, to preserve this way of life on film and on the internet – both as a record for future generations and as a tribute to those who have worked here for so long. It was a timely decision.” These photos are a great tribute to the men and women who make their living in these waters.
