Funeral services for the late Mary Angevine, 70, of Maryvale, Antigonish County, and formerly of Big Marsh, were held this past Friday in ST. George’s Church, Georgeville, with Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Angevine died August 6 in St. Martha’s Hospital. Active pallbearers were Jody Gillis, Ron King, Harold Smith, Wayne Campbell, Archie Huntely and Gene Purdy. Honorary pallbearers were Oakley Dean and John Dan Heffernan. Born in Big Marsh, she was the daughter of the late James and Christine (MacDougall) MacNeil. She was a member of St. George’s Church. She is survived by three sons, Early, Marshy Hope; James, MacPherson’s Mills; and Cecil, Maryvale; and 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; and two brothers, John Roderick and Angus Stephen.
