THE PONDS – Mrs. Florence Ann Mason, 85, The Ponds, died Saturday, March 29, 1997, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born at Cape George, Antigonish Co., she was a daughter of the late John H. and Anastacia (MacDonald) McInnis. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lismore. Surviving are daughters: Mary, (Mrs. William Perry; Judy, (Mrs. Gerald Dickson), both of Iroquois, Ont., Susan (Mrs. Donald Miller), Merigomish; Anna, at home; sons: Douglas (Buddy) (Patsy); Windston (Betty), all of Merigomish; Charles (Kathy), Enfield; sisters: Hannah MacInnis, Cape George; Louise MacPhie, Antigonish; Christie Cabot, Massachusetts; brother, Albert, Antigonish; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry; sons, John Henry, Gordon; sisters Catherine, Margaret, Linda, Janet, Gertie and brothers Hugh, Gus and Donald. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
