1917 Private Dan W. McDonald
Killed in Action – Private Dan W. McDonald, son of Duncan J. McDonald, of Cape George Point, Antigonish, has given up his life for King and country. Private McDonald enlisted in Western Canada in 1915, joining the 72nd Highlanders and went overseas in April, 1916. All his acquaintance held him in high esteem. Besides his sorrowing parents, four brothers and four sisters mourn the loss of a favourite son and brother. May he rest in peace!
