SULLIVAN, Ind. – Lauchlin McEachern, known as “Jackie Smith”, 92, 218 N. State St., died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday in the Mary Sherman Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan and a long time miner in the Sullivan coal field. His church membership was in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Surviving are the widow, Beulah, and a son Sewell McEachern, both of Sullivan. The body was taken to the Tennis Funeral Home.
