McEachern, Mary (McInnis)

There passed away recently at White Center, Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Mary McEachern in her 87th year.  She was born at Cape George Point, Antigonish County, daughter of Christina McDonald and John Hughie McInnis.  Prior to coming to British Columbia in 1912, she engaged in substitute school teaching at Cape George and was for a time housekeeper for the late Bishop Cameron in Antigonish.  In 1912 she married Dan McEachern, also a native of Cape George and came to reside in Revelstoke, B.C. where her husband was a bridge foreman for the C.P.R., they moved to Seattle where her husband was employed as a bridge foreman for the Northern Pacific railway.
