Mary Olivia McEachern, 77, long time resident of Mullan, died Thursday at East Shoshone Hospital in Silverton. She was born March 24, 1934 in Maples, North Dakota to John and Elizabeth McHugh Moran. She married Wendell “Casey” McEachern in April of 1934 in Spokane. He died in 1959. Mrs. McEachern moved to Mullan in 1928 and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Royal Neighbors, numerous bridge and pinochle clubs. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Don (Mildred) Keiper of Eugene, Ore., and Maureen Dobson of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Madeline Rowe of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; a sister Katherine Holderbaum of Great Falls, Mont.; a brother, Mike Moran of Livingston, Mont.; four grandchildren, Patty Keiper, Colleen Jupka, carole Cady and Cindy Cady; two great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited tonight at 7 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mullan and requiem mass will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) at St. Michael’s. Father Martin Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery at Mullan. Shoshone Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.
