13 Apr 1918
At the V.G. Hospital, Halifax, N.S. on April 13th, 1918 after a brief illness, which he bore with Christian fortitude, in the 31st year of his age, Dan A. McInnis, beloved son of Alex J. McInnis of Ballantyne’s Cove, Ant. Deceased by his kindness and affability, endured himself to all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. The sympathy of the community goes out to his sorrowing father, one brother and five sisters. Fortified by the last rites of Holy Church, he calmly passed away with the firm hope of enjoying a glorious hereafter. After a Requiem High Mass offered up for the repose of his soul, by Rev. D. Beaton, P.P., on the morning of the 15th inst., his remains were tenderly laid to rest in the new cemetery in Ballantine’s Cove.
