ANTIGONISH July 10, 1932, Isabel Smith Wilkie, widow of David McNair, one of the oldest residents of the county, passed away at home last night in her 96th years, after a brief illness. Mrs. McNair’s kindly manner, her sparkling sense of humor and her fine qualities of character won her a legion of friends. She was a faithful member of St. James United Church. Daughter of the late George Wilkie and Elizabeth McPhee, she was born at Cape George, December 1836, and moved to Antigonish several years after her marriage to Mr. McNair, spending the last 5- 6 years of her life here. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Greenough, Plymouth, NH,: Mrs. Elizabeth Currie, Springfield, VT. a son, Howard, at home; and one sister, Mrs. Sarah J. Wilkie, Antigonish . The funeral will be held Monday at 2:30 pm.
