Of pneumonia at the home of his nephew, Stephen McDonald, municipal councilor, Livingstone’s Cove, Jan 28, 1929, in his 87th year, John McNeil. Deceased, who was highly respected, always led a good Christian life, which earned him a happy death. He was married to Mary Gillis, of Middle S. River, who predeceased him by 47 years. Their two children died in infancy. He leaves to mourn their loss, two brothers, Ronald in Vancouver, Dan in Joggins Mines and one sister, Flora (widow of John MacDonald) at Livingstone’s Cove. Fortified by the last rites of the Church he calmly passed away with the firm hope of enjoying a glorious hereafter. Buried in Georgeville.
