May 1975 – Anna Janet Rider (MacDonald)
Word has been received of the death in Ekalaka of Anna Janet Rider, 93, Ekalaka, daughter of the Missoula pioneer family of James W. MacDonald and a former Hot Springs resident. Mrs. Rider was born at Cape George, Nova Scotia, May 20, 1881, and moved with her family to Montana in 1896. In 1943 she married George A. Rider in Townsend. Her husband died in 1960. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Esther Chapter 3. O.E.S., at Townsend. She is survived by two sisters, Katherine Argo, Ekalaka, and Ida MacDonald, Amherst, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.
