Charles E. Ross, 61, of Georgeville, died at St. Martha’s Hospital on August 14. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. George’s Church and burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. Ross was born in Halifax, a son of John and Mary Jane (Lawrence) Ross. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s University, and was an accomplished orchestral violinist. He was on the staff of the Nova Scotia Light and Power Corp. for several years. Later, he was purchasing agent with James HOwden and Parsons Ltd., Toronto, until his retirement in July 1973. He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Jamieson; daughter Mary Flora, an arts student at St. Francis Xavier University; two sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Bruce Terry) and Mary (Mrs. Harry Taggart), both of Oakville, Ontario; and a brother, John, from Halifax.
