Edward Whalen, employed at the farm of William McMillan, Livingstone’s Cove, died suddenly Saturday, death evidently being due to a heart attack. He went for the cows in the morning, and just before he reached the barn on the way back he was seen suddenly to fall against the fence. Mr. MacMillan noticed him and ran to him, and tried to take him into the house but he died almost immediately. No inquest was necessary. The remains were removed to MacIsaac’s undertaking parlors and later taken to his former home at Roachvale, Guysborough County.
